Several players receive a DoT; when it expires it explodes (raid damage falls with distance) and leaves a Viscous Cyst at their feet. The cysts are deliberate tools: placed at pre-assigned markers opposite the wind tunnels before the intermission, the gale pushes the raid into a cyst whose knockback returns everyone to the center/safety. A cyst touched at any other time explodes with a knockback and slow.
A frontal cone whose Nature damage (~4.79M per quoted journal text) is split evenly among players struck, and which applies Mutilated Gash: +500% damage taken from Mutilate. If 5 or fewer players are hit it inflicts deadly damage, so each Mutilate needs a real soak group, and the same group must never take both Mutilates in one sequence.
Mythic-only. The raid is pulled into the Soulcoil Well where a Drowned Echo waits, pulsing raid damage (Immortal Coil) and gripping players on contact (Swirling Spirit). Its cast, Soulcoiler's Curse, must be interrupted or everyone inside is Soulcoiled and ejected; an ignored Echo eventually grips a random player into the well, killing them and triggering a Soulcoil Rite. Leaving the well applies Soul Exhaustion, multiplying well damage taken, so fixed teams of 4 DPS and 1 healer rotate in.
Shadow raid damage from the ascended explorer's presence (the Mor'zahi side of The Lost Explorers). Background rot for the fight's second half profile.
Mythic-only: each Imbibe also drops Malignant Tumors/Totems across the raid's half of the room (Hexweaver counts 24). They have 99% damage reduction (Hardened Tumor) until a Plague Wave passes over them; any still standing just after the NEXT Imbibe detonate as Malignance, a heavy stacking raid hit - one is survivable, two or more usually are not.
A marked player erupts after 8 seconds, dealing Shadow damage split among everyone within 7.5 yards and applying stacking Clinging Murk. On Heroic, soakers' Murk expiry also drops Blood Venom pools.
Nature damage from Sszorak's venom output that lands outside the named surge and cyst casts. Two live IDs share the name, so both are listed.
